Common questions
What is "nowcasting," and why does it matter for operations?
Nowcasting is very short-range forecasting — roughly the next several hours — at high spatial and temporal resolution. That is precisely the window in which operational decisions are made and changed: when to move, when to hold, when to protect assets. Traditional multi-day forecasts are too coarse for that call; nowcasting is built for it.
How do you use the NVIDIA Earth-2 ecosystem?
Earth-2 is NVIDIA's ecosystem for AI-accelerated weather and climate forecasting. We build on it to generate high-resolution nowcasts from real-time atmospheric data far faster than conventional numerical models allow, then wrap that output in the data pipelines, evaluation, and decision-support layer that make it usable for federal operations.
How does weather intelligence relate to GEOINT?
They are complementary layers of the same operational picture. GEOINT tells you what is on the ground; weather intelligence tells you what the atmosphere is about to do to it — and to the sensors collecting it. Our nowcasts and decision support are built to fuse with geospatial context — terrain, assets, infrastructure — so for GEOINT-adjacent missions, weather becomes another intelligence layer rather than a separate feed.
